Everything you're wondering,
answered honestly.
Thinking about a website for your business? Good. Here are straight answers to the questions we hear most — no jargon, no pressure. Just what you get, how it helps, and why businesses choose to work with us.
Why businesses choose us
You see it first
We often build your website before you commit — so you're deciding on a real, finished site you can click through, not a promise or a mockup.
We run it for you
Most companies build a site and vanish. We stay on — managing your site, social posts, SEO and reviews — so you never have to become your own web person.
It's truly yours
Your own domain, your content, your customers. Real custom-built websites — no rented templates, no lock-in.
What you get
More than a website — your whole online presence, looked after in one place.
Your questions
What exactly do you do? +
We build and run your entire online presence. That starts with a professional, custom-built website, and includes an easy dashboard to update it, one place where all your enquiries land, review monitoring, social media posting, ongoing SEO, and simple analytics.
You focus on your business — we handle the online side.
Why does my business need a website? +
Because people look you up before they get in touch. When someone hears your name or passes your shop, the first thing they do is search for you — and a professional website tells them you're established, trustworthy, and open for business.
It also works when you can't: answering questions and capturing enquiries at 2am when you're closed. And unlike a social profile, it's yours — working for you around the clock.
What makes you different from other web companies? +
You see it before you buy. We often build your website up front, so you're choosing a real, finished site — not trusting a promise.
And we don't disappear. We manage everything for you, month to month — the site, your social posts, your SEO, your reviews. You get a real team, not just a bill and a login you'll never open.
Do I own my website? +
Yes, completely. Your website lives on your own domain, and your content and customer information belong to you. No lock-in, no page-builder subscription holding your site hostage.
It's your business's front door — it belongs to you, and we simply keep it running beautifully.
I'm not very technical — is that a problem? +
Not at all. Most of our clients aren't technical, and most barely touch their site because we look after it for them.
If you ever want to change a price or your hours, it's as easy as sending a text — or just message us and we'll take care of it the same day.
Will this help me show up on Google? +
That's a big part of what we do. We build your site to be fast and mobile-friendly, then keep working on your SEO, content, and social presence over time so you steadily climb for the searches that matter in your area.
We won't promise an overnight number-one spot — no honest company can — but we do the ongoing work that gets you found.
Will my site work on phones? +
Absolutely. Most people will find you on their phone, so every site we build looks and works beautifully on mobile, tablet, and desktop from day one.
How long until my website is live? +
Quickly — often within days. Because we frequently build your site up front, the hard part is already done. When you're ready, we connect it to your domain, add the finishing touches, and launch.
What if I need changes later? +
Just ask. Small updates like prices, hours, or a new photo you can make yourself in seconds. Anything bigger, you message us and we handle it. Keeping your site current is part of the service.
I already have a Facebook page — isn't that enough? +
Social media is great, and we'll help you make the most of it. But it isn't something you own, and its reach can change at any time.
A website is yours for good, makes you look more established, and it's where serious customers go to take you seriously. The two work best together — and we manage both for you.
What does it cost? +
Our prices are published — no sales call required. It's two parts: a one-time build fee ($1,495–$3,500 for most businesses; custom projects quoted) and a monthly care plan ($99–$249) covering hosting, security, edits, and a monthly report. Month-to-month, plus HST, cancel anytime.
See the full breakdown on the Pricing page, or get in touch and we'll point you at the right package.
Who is the registrant on my domain? +
You are. We set the domain up in your name and you keep the registrar login — it's your address, not ours.
If your current provider won't tell you who owns your domain, that is your answer. You can check any .ca domain in 30 seconds at whois.cira.ca.
What happens if I cancel? +
You keep everything — the domain, the code, the content, and your customer data. We hand the server configuration to whoever takes over.
Cancelling costs nothing. There's no contract and no early-termination fee — we'd rather earn next month than lock you into it.
SEO & getting found
The questions everyone asks about ranking on Google — and now on AI search. The full story is on our SEO page.
How long does SEO take to work? +
Realistically: three to six months for meaningful movement, six to twelve for results that compound. SEO builds like interest, not like a light switch. Some fixes pay off faster — technical repairs, indexing problems, and a proper Google Business Profile can move the needle in weeks.
Anyone promising "first page in 30 days" is selling something they can't deliver. The businesses that win at search are the ones still publishing when their competitors gave up in month two.
How much does SEO cost for a small business? +
Canadian agencies typically charge anywhere from $500 to $2,500+ per month as a standalone retainer. We do it differently: ongoing SEO is baked into your monthly plan alongside your website, content, and social posts — one relationship, one predictable bill, no separate SEO invoice.
The right number depends on your market and how competitive your searches are. Get in touch for a straight answer, or start with the free audit to see what actually needs fixing.
Can you guarantee a #1 ranking on Google? +
No — and neither can anyone else. Google doesn't sell organic rankings and no agency controls the algorithm. A guaranteed-ranking pitch is the single biggest red flag in this industry.
What can be guaranteed is the work: a technically sound site, content published on schedule, listings submitted, schema in place, and honest reporting on what's moving. Do that consistently and rankings follow.
Why isn't my website showing up on Google? +
It's almost always one of four things: Google hasn't indexed your pages (missing sitemap, crawl errors, accidental noindex), technical problems (slow loads, broken mobile layouts), no content targeting what people actually search, or no signals of trust — no reviews, no listings, no links.
A proper audit finds the culprit in minutes. That's exactly what our free audit does — it tells you what's broken and in what order to fix it.
What's the difference between SEO and Google Ads? +
Ads rent visibility; SEO owns it. The moment you stop paying for ads, you vanish. SEO compounds — every article, listing, and review keeps working for you months and years after it's published.
They're not enemies: ads are useful for instant traffic while SEO ramps up. But if you only build one asset, build the one you keep.
Do blog articles actually help SEO? +
Yes — when they answer questions your customers actually ask. Every genuinely useful article is another door into your website, another search you can win, and more proof to Google that you know your field.
What doesn't work is thin, keyword-stuffed filler. Google ignores it and readers bounce off it. Useful beats frequent, and useful and frequent beats everyone.
How do I get my business mentioned by ChatGPT and AI search? +
AI assistants build their answers from the open web — so you get mentioned by being clearly understandable to machines: well-structured pages, FAQ content that directly answers questions, schema markup, an llms.txt file, and consistent mentions in directories and reviews.
There's no secret backdoor into ChatGPT. Sites that are organized, factual, and widely cited get quoted; sites that are vague and thin get skipped. We build for both audiences — humans and the AI reading over their shoulder.
Is SEO still worth it now that people use AI to search? +
More than ever. AI answers are assembled from web content, and the AI tools lean heavily on search indexes to find it. If Google can't find you, neither can ChatGPT.
The channel changed; the work didn't. The same system — solid technical foundation, real content, structured data, citations, reviews — is what wins both the search results page and the AI answer.
What is local SEO — and do I need it? +
Local SEO is everything that gets you found by people searching nearby: your Google Business Profile, the map pack, reviews, and consistent name-address-phone listings across trusted directories.
If you serve a local area, you need it — for "near me" searches, the map pack usually gets more clicks than the #1 regular result. For most local businesses it's the highest-return SEO work there is.
What happens if I stop doing SEO? +
Rankings decay — slowly at first, then all at once. Your competitors keep publishing, Google keeps updating, content goes stale, and listings drift out of date. The visibility you paid to build gets handed back to whoever kept going.
That's not a scare tactic; it's how a ranking works — it's a position other businesses want, held by continuous effort. SEO is maintenance on an asset that makes you money, like anything else that makes you money.
